BIO International Convention 2026, the world’s largest and most influential biotechnology event, was successfully held in San Diego, California, from June 22–25. Celebrating the biotechnology industry’s 50th anniversary under the theme “Driven by Purpose,” this year’s convention brought together more than 20,000 industry professionals from 68 countries, facilitating over 50,000 one-on-one partnering meetings across the global life sciences ecosystem.
As one of China’s leading nonclinical CROs, InnoStar participated in the event alongside numerous innovative pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, engaging with global partners to explore opportunities in drug discovery, translational research, and nonclinical development. Throughout the four-day convention, our team held productive discussions with pharmaceutical companies, biotech innovators, investors, and research organizations from North America, Europe, and Asia, further strengthening InnoStar’s international collaborations.
Throughout the event, the InnoStar team had the opportunity to engage with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, research organizations, and industry partners from around the world. From AI-enabled drug discovery and ADCs to cell & gene therapies, radiopharmaceuticals, and oligonucleotide therapeutics, one message was clear: innovation is advancing through stronger scientific collaboration.
During the convention, InnoStar showcased its comprehensive nonclinical research capabilities, including pharmacology, DMPK, toxicology, safety assessment, bioanalysis, isotope labeling, imaging, and integrated IND-enabling solutions. Complementing these capabilities, a major focus of InnoStar’s presence at BIO 2026 was InnoStar Huangshan, our dedicated non-human primate (NHP) resource center, which provides one of the essential foundations for innovative drug development. Supported by premium NHP resources, a sustainable breeding program, and healthy, well-characterized animal populations, Huangshan delivers reliable resource availability and rapid study initiation to meet the evolving needs of global biopharmaceutical research. Fully integrated with InnoStar’s comprehensive nonclinical research capabilities, the platform enables efficient pharmacology, DMPK, toxicology, and translational studies, helping accelerate the development of next-generation therapeutics from early discovery through IND-enabling research.
As part of the Zhangjiang delegation, InnoStar also participated in the Zhangjiang Pharma Valley Industry Promotion Event, joining fellow life science enterprises in presenting the region’s dynamic innovation ecosystem to international audiences. The event demonstrated the strength of Shanghai Zhangjiang’s integrated biopharmaceutical ecosystem, spanning early-stage innovation, research and development, clinical translation, manufacturing, and global commercialization.

Looking ahead, InnoStar will continue expanding its global presence by strengthening scientific partnerships, supporting innovative drug development across diverse therapeutic modalities, and delivering reliable, high-quality nonclinical research services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide
